Saturday Spotlight – 8/22
Can you feel it in the air? Summer is almost over! I can feel the excitment dissapointment in the air that summer is almost over. There is always a change in peoples behavior when summer is almost over and school is starting again. They seem to be out and about more with a purpose. Have you noticed that?
Anyway, just because school is about to start doesn’t mean that the hot weather is gone! In fact where I live in So. Cal. it’s been pretty mild this summer but I know that some of the hottest months are ahead of us still! And since the weather is still warm I thought I’d share this blog post with you before it gets too cool to do with your kids.
Again, this post is from No Time with Flash Cards. I don’t plan for all or most of the Saturday Spotlights to be from her blog but I find such fun stuff there that it’s hard not to share with you!
In THIS post Allie shows us how to have some backyard fun with the wall, some chalk and the hose. And the best part is that it’s not only fun but a learning experience for little ones! If you have little ones like I do this would be a great hot afternoon activity – I plan to follow it up with some ice cream and juice
