Expired Coupon Reminder!
It’s the end of the year and we’re all busy getting our houses back in order after the holiday season. I love the feeling the house has after all the Christmas decor is put away and everything is clean. It’s so refreshing to me after all the busyness.
Well as you’re working on cleaning and getting everything in order don’t forget to get your Expired Coupons in order to mail to the troops overseas! If you’ve never mailed your expired coupons you’ll want to read all about it HERE. Debbie has done a great job putting these coupons in order and we want to keep them coming for her! I got this email from her last week:
It is time for the end of year cleaning including those expired coupons. I have a small pile to send this week. Thanks again for sending your Boxtops and for the person who sent a couple dollars for shipping. It is like Christmas!!
Remember that coupons need to be manufacture and can only be expired up to two months. You can send coupons that are not expired.
Have a wonderful week and a Happy New Years!!
Debbie
With the all the hussle and bussle of the season the number of coupons dropped a lot this past month so let’s set it up for January and get as many coupons to our troops as possible!
Just a quick reminder here are the guidelines: (Click HERE to read all about our project)
- You will need to separate your coupons into two categories: Food & Non-Food. (You can mail them all in the same envelope – and to save more money check out the Flat Rate Envelopes the post office offers.)
- Make sure your coupons are already clipped
- You CAN send expired internet coupons AS LONG AS they are Manufacturer coupons.
- No store coupons
- Send coupons that are no more than 2 months after their expiration time. (Military will be able to use the coupons up to 6 months after their expiration, but we need to consider the time it takes to get there as well as the time it will take people to organize them all.)
- If you really want to help, you can sort by money value too. It makes it easier to add up the totals but is not a must. If you should do this, you do not have to put them in different envelops or bags. Just keep them in order in the food and nonfood categories.
When you are mailing off your coupons feel free to add a couple of dollars for shipping if you want. I know it would be appreciated! (Debbie pay for the all the international shipping out of her own pocket every month) Also if you have them you can send in your Box Tops for Education – Debbie is a teacher and her class is in competition at her school. If you send them just put them separate with all the coupons some how so she sees them easily.
