Don’t forget to mail your Expired Coupons!

expiredcouponprojectDon’t forget to save your Expired Coupons for our Soliders! If you’ve not joined us in collecting expired coupons then go HERE to read all about it and learn how you can send your coupons.

Debbie emailed me last month with a link to her new website where she posted some letters that she received from the bases she send the coupons too! They were fun to read and know that these coupons are benefiting our troops! Here are links directly to the letters:

Thank You From Schweinfurt
Thank You From Afghanistan

I also wanted to tell you that you can send a care package directly to a solider if you’d like! If your stock pile is getting a bit full this is another great way to thin it out! I know that Debbie uses coupons that she gets that haven’t expired yet and I got a comment from a reader named Abby who told me that as she starts to coupon her goal is to stock up on items like razors for her husband to give to his soldiers! What  a great idea Abby! Thanks so much for sharing that idea!

I found the following sites that you can get more informration on sending a package overseas:

Operation ShoeBox

Operation Grattitude

Operation Care Package (USO)

UPDATED: I got the following comment from Debbie about adopting soldiers and wanted to be sure that everyone saw it!

Another option is to join a group like Adopt a US soldier. I have two soldiers thru them and it is a great organization. I send a package a month and letters a couple times a month. Most of my items have been on coupons that I have along with ones I have received from others. This has allowed me to adopted three other soldiers and a chaplain overseeing 800 soldiers.

If you are interested in adopting a soldier and have questions, I would be glad to answer or chat with you. It has been a fulfilling experience. My e-mail is expiredcouponqueen@me.com. In addition, I am opening it up to people if you would like to send a card or letter….I will be glad to add them into my monthly shipping to Afghanistan and Iraq. Just add them in with your expired coupons.

Thanks so much for the comment Debbie! I love partnering with you in this project!
