Couponing 101: Introduction

Everyone has different reasons for wanting to use coupons. Some of us need to use them in order to make ends meet, while others of us just want to be good stewards of the money and save where we can. For whatever the reason, perhaps you’ve found yourself ready to jump into the game of couponing but don’t know exactly where to start. It is my hope and desire that this series on how to coupon and the coupon match ups that I provide weekly will help you be successful in your quest to save money!
Getting started with coupons can be a very overwhelming experience for anyone just beginning. It took me months of sitting back reading about other bloggers who were saving money before I was ready to really try my hand at it. And when I did start I started slow; “trying out” a deal here and there. Through my journey of couponing I have discovered that there are those of us who are more casual couponers (those of us who use coupons when they match our shopping trips) and then there are those of us who are extreme couponers – (those of us who use our coupons to get items at ROCK bottom prices and buying the items in bulk at those prices). I would have to say that I am in between the two categories of couponers. I’d say that I have journeyed from a casual couponer and am well on my way to becoming an extreme couponer!
Through these next few weeks I will be writing and sharing with you the ins and outs of what I’ve learned about couponing – including where to find coupons, how to organize them and how to use them to your advantage. There will be a few guest posts and a few giveaways that you’ll love to win if you want to coupon!
If you are new to couponing or just testing the waters to see what it’s really all about I welcome you! If you are a seasoned couponer I hope that you’ll share your skills with us by leaving comments throughout this series!
This series will be spread out through the coming weeks. I am going to post a little at a time so that hopefully you’ll be able to soak it in a little at a time and find clarification along the way.
Please, please, please email me or leave a comment with any questions you have!! My email address is themommytrade @ gmail . com Your questions will help bring all of us clarification. I plan to end this series with questions from readers so if you have a question please ask for the benefit of us all!

I’m definitely a casual couponer, but in my pursuit of that Proverbs 31 woman I’m excited to learn how to better manage my household and keep our shelves affordably stocked!
This is new for me. I’m a “want-to-be” couponer. As a stay-at-home mom/wife I really desire to stretch the almighty dollar for our family. It’s definitely a little daunting to figure out “where/how” to get started. I look forward to your series. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
this is great! I am really excited about this!!!
